Project Overview
We are thrilled to present the design concept for "Aura Home," a one-of-a-kind residence spanning approximately 3,400 square feet in the serene community of Auroville. The objective of this architectural project is to create a home that serves as a haven, an artistic masterpiece where design and artistry find expression. It aims to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, harmonising with the environment to provide a unique living experience.
Client Brief
Aura Home will be a unique and culturally rich living space, blending nature and modernity, with the C-shaped Open Air Theatre as its central focal point, surrounded by the pergola, alcove, natural integration, Mangalore tiles, and filler slabs to create a harmonious and inspiring environment.
Key Features:
Symphonic Amphitheatre: The architectural focal point of Aura Home is the C-shaped Open air theatre that envelops a space where music and stories come to life, enhancing the cultural aspect of the design creating a serene atmosphere.
Pergola "Hat" Effect: Surrounding the Amphitheatre, a pergola structure have been carefully designed to create a hat-like effect, providing shade and architectural interest.
Alcove: we have created an alcove, a private oasis for moments of contemplation and relaxation.
Natural Integration: The architectural design incorporates elements like the majestic Neem tree, allowing the beauty of nature to be a part of the living experience. The majestic Neem tree will stand at the heart of the courtyard, offering shade, symbolism, and a natural connection to the environment.
Sloping Roofs: The sloping roofs not only provide protection but also create an architectural feature that reaches toward the sky, symbolising the joy and aspiration of the residents.
Filler Slab Ceilings: The entrance and staircase areas will feature filler slab ceilings, adding a touch of modernity and architectural elegance.
Mangalore Tiles: Traditional Mangalore tiles will grace the roof, marrying tradition and sustainability.
Brass Inlaid Main Front Door: The entrance will feature a main door with intricate brass inlay work, setting a tone of grandeur and craftsmanship.
Oxide Finishes in Bathrooms: To create a unique character, oxide finishes will be used in the bathroom areas, adding a touch of rustic charm.
Automatic Recycling System: A balcony will house a serene lily pond with an automatic recycling system, creating a soothing water element that's both eco-friendly and visually pleasing.
Window Seater: Custom window seaters will be incorporated, offering cosy spots for relaxation and contemplation.
Sustainability and Construction Techniques: The building will be constructed using eco-friendly fly ash bricks for sustainability.A rat trap bond construction method will be employed for improved thermal insulation.Guniting technique will be used for stability and durability.
